CBD, or Cannabidiol, is one of 85+ active cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Unlike Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does not produce psychoactive effects and is therefore legal in many countries (

Potential Side Effects of CBD
To date, there has been no reported evidence of overdose or death resulting from the consumption of CBD. However, THC, another active ingredient in cannabis, can cause toxicity or even death in dogs. The worst possible side effect documented in dogs that are taking CBD tends to be diarrhea (
8).
What Does CBD Feel Like?
CBD has a very neutral and subtle effect, which tends to set in 15 to 45 minutes after consumption (
9). It is relaxing, but not sedating, so it doesn't create the high, or stoned feeling that THC-heavy marijuana can. Many claim that CBD provides a lack of symptoms rather than a specific “feeling.”
Is CBD Legal?
In 2018, the Agriculture Improvement Act (2018 Farm Bill) eliminated hemp from the specification of cannabis in the Controlled Substance Act (CSA) (
